Jordan Perchik, MD discusses a new study in which a team of radiologists attempt to detail imaging findings that can identify patients with interstitial lung disease who are at high risk of developing acute exacerbation after thoracic surgery. Several promising metrics are described however the close overlap between the statistically significant values leads to a broader discussion of statistical significance versus practical application.
